I've been growing my hair for about 10 months now, starting out from basically a shaved head, so it's really layered. I'm thinking about cutting everything below the length of the topmost hair (bangs reaches just below the tip of my nose, and the hair on top reaches the middle of my ears), and then just let it grow so it'll become the same length everywhere. Has/is anyone else in the same situation? What is your opinion? Pros/Cons?
thanks.
Are you sure its been 10 months? I've only been growing mine for about 4 from a shaved head and I am were you are at. Anyway, not to offend you or anything, but now I know Biotin really does work! I say just let it grow like wildfire until you get to your desired length. Only then should you start to think about making very SUBTLE modifications. Read previous posts and bill's longhair site, the more you get "maintenence" cuts, the longer it will take for you to grow it out...
Hope this helps...
more or less, yep.
I'm taking biotin, have been for the last month or so, started out with 1800 mcg/day, taking 3000 mcg/day now.. haven't really noticed much of a difference yet.. Your hair must've been growing pretty fast to grow down to yer nose in just 4 months.. I wish my hair grew that fast :-) I've measured some strands of hair, and it was about 16 cm/6.2" long.
How much biotin are you taking?
