Helo there, Im a 20 year old art student, I have been growing my hair from a buzzcut for about three-four months, and its already rather longish, basically my fringe is already near my eyes, and the rest (back and sides) are in proportion, my goal is too not cut it, at all, well for at least two years, then I may consider a trim, I have had long hair before (but with an undercut) so I know what to expect, but this time the undercut will not happen, I want it really long, I am kind of at the ackward stage at the moment, but using Dax hair wax, it makes it alot easier to maintain, so I dont look like im in an early Beatles tribute band or anything. Anyway my question for you guys:
Are there any vitamins out there that can help to make the process of hair growth quicker, I have read alot about such things, but you know what the internet is like. Anyway just wanted to know, if any of you know or have any advice, then it is all welcome, plus do you think my trimming idea is any good, or do you think I should get regular trims?
because after two years of growth my hair was very long (just below shoulders) but became slightly thinner and I had a few split ends and stuff, This time round Iwant to do it properly, because I want long hair for life: first goal shoulder length, second goal waist length ponytail, bye bye zappafan arf!
Your hair is going to grow the same speed regardless and it sounds like you have a decent rate as it is.
As for the purveyors of vitamins and growth enhancers... don't let them jive you with their cosmik debris.
hey cool another zappa fan! well thanks for the advice, and Im looking forward for the progress of my hair
I use MSM and horsetail plus the Country Life Maxi-Hair Vitamin.
IMO, these inexpensive supplements have helped my hair grow thicker, stronger.
I use "Hair, Skin, and Nails" which is in pill form. Nothing will help your hair grow faster, but keeping it well maintained and healthy will keep breakage down, which means less time to get to goal length. The above mentioned pills make my hair really shiny, yet not oily, if that makes any sense. This means very little tangles so breakage is down to a minimum.

Basically, an average uptake of all vitamines and supplements will increase hair growth (supposedly). If you eat various foods you won't have problem finding them. I know a good combo is vitamin A + E as well as all B vitamines. Zinc, iron and potassium are also important. Hope this helps...
