Thanks everyone for all the feedback about the braids Franny put into my hair. No one commented about my Legolas braid but I definitely noticed some glances. I briefly wore today's Dutch braid out but not many people saw me. I think the rope braid and the 4 strand are the two I would feel most comfortable wearing out on a regular basis.
Once again Franny did a fabulous job. I like how the Dutch braid starts so high on the head and continues for so long.

I just showed your pics to my partner, Even. He said that another name for those type of braids is a, "Visible French Braid" (meaning, that the braid itself visibly sits on-top, and is braided underneath). A regular French Braid is apparently also called an "Invisible-style Braid" (which is braided over, in a more typical-type fashion).
He learned these terms when he was in Cosmotology School in LA several yeaqrs ago. The 2 types of braids that he doesn't know how to do are: a "Cobra Braid" (he thinks it's AKA, "Fish Tail"; but isn't absolutely sure about that); and the, "Rope" (although he just disproved that he doesn't know how - lol).

So, you paid separately for those. Sorry.... couldn't resist. Looks fantastic, and like the other guy said, if you did hers you did a fantastic job. You both did a fantastic job. Of all these styles, have you found one that's the most comfortable? I think I would braid more often if it wasn't so difficult to get it so that the braid didn't pull every time it moved.

Franny never disappoints me with her skills! Great hair, great braids, as always. There are not many people with the quality of hair that is so suitable for braiding that you and Franny have. Apart from colour and a slight difference in length, you seem to have similar hair types.

Great looking styles, Jason! All the braids look incredible, especially the Dutch braid! You're a real inspiration to the rest of us to experiment with new and different styles. Hope you'll continue to get more and more creative to wear your long hair in different ways. Looks great!
