I still do not see why people care about how other people choose to look. I never say anything about my friend's clothes or hair even if I don't think it looks good because that is what they want it to look like. I had people every day telling me to get my hair cut and stuff all year at school. I'm still going through all the bad hair phases plus my hair is real wavy which adds to the problem. I just always ignored them. Most of my friend's never said anything about it. If everybody looked like what we wanted to them to look like the world would be a boring place. I think that how you wear your hair shows your personality just like clothes and other stuff to express yourself.
I forget where I first read this, but it's become my motto in life:
"Never explain yourself -- your friends don't expect it and your enemies won't believe it!" :-)

Long hair to some will always have a stigma to it. They will start quoting bible verses and such. I have found that most people REALLY like it or REALLY dont. Its just a look that you choose and live with that part of it. I will tell you this that for some women it's like a magnet!! Agree??
The attention that I get from women is awesome!
Because some people are afraid to be themselves and want everyone to fit in a neat little clone like package which includes a certain prescribed haircut and clothes.
By growing your hair out you are choosing to be a individual and ignoring what the sheep are doing. let the sheep be ignorant and think what they will.
there will always be those who conform to every idiotic rule that some previous generation, or generations have put down proclaiming "this is the way a man should be blah blah blah..."
It's best at your age to look for Intellectual types who will respect you as the person you are and not judge you by the way you dress or wear your hair.

That is soooo well said my friend. They are the sheep and they have to have the same boring old haircut as everyone else and the reason they take the piss is because they are scared of people who look a little different.
