I know we get enough of these topics around here, but I still haven't found anything out there that works for me.
So, I'm almost finished with my shampoo and conditioner, and I really need to get something else. What I use (Garnier Fructus), leaves my hair so oily, that half-way through the day, my forhead from where my hair has came in contact with it, is completely drenched in oil. As you can see, I have really oily hair. I have to shampoo everyday (I want to go to every other day right now) because of how greasy and nasty my hair looks the next day if I don't.
So, can anyone recommend a shampoo/conditioner for my type of hair that's not too pricey?
I can tell you what I use but the problem is that what works for me may not work for you. Asking people what they use in their hair is like asking what shoes they wear. then getting those shoes in their size and hoping they will be comfortable on your feet and work out okay. If everyone had identical hair it would be different but they don't. What you need is a guide book you can read that will tell you what stinks and what is good and has the good products broken down by hair type. you figure out your hair type, go to the store and find something there that's listed in the book and buy it. I haven't missed yet. Click on the link below.

This is going to suund weird. Have you tried diluted dishwashing detergent? The kind with no anti bacterial or bleach in it. Years ago my brother-in-law used this for the same thing you have described. For conditioner how about White Rain extra body conditioner. It sells for around $1.29. As your hair gets longer you will have to adjust your products.
I use Aussie brand shampoo and Aussie brand conditioner, and I love them. But like someone already said, what works for me may not work for you.
Hey, I also have problems with an oily scalp and I also happen to use Garnier Fructis. Nonetheless, I've used other shampoos before and it's the same I don't think it depends so much on products. Still, I'll try something different later. I suggest you do too.
It's really unfortunate when some of us have such oily hair but I doubt there\s anything that can be done :(
