    do you find most folks pretty tolerant towards Long Hair on Men in your community, or do you still find some people who have the same views that existed back in the 1960's?

      I live in central Pennsylvania and it seems that people out this way are tolerant towards long haired men. There are still some guys out here with long hair (not as much as I'd like to see, though). There are even a couple of teen age boys (only three so far that I've seen) that have long hair (I pass a public high school every time I go work). I travel on business to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and still see some long haired guys (especially in Philadelphia). I use the PA Turnpike often and usually see a couple of long haired construction workers. So, ther are still long hair guys in PA (and I'm one of them). Even the priest in my church has long hair and a long beard. I'm only one of three guys in my church with long hair (not counting the priest). I got a little angry when I read an article in the local paper two weeks ago about an 8 year boy who never had a haircut, but let a friend ,a boy who has cancer (and a bald head) cut his 15 inch mane off. I guess I shouldn't feel this way, but why make the effort to grow a nice head of hair and then have somebody cut it. If I had parents like his, I would have grown it to my rear!!!!     Many years ago it was very good, it has gone down hill in recent years. Many years ago even the vendors would try to be in character for the times. No longer the case anymore.

    I should mentiion that these Renaissance Faires run throughtout
    the year in various parts of the country. Many of the participants
    travel from location to location.

    Also some of the former King Richards Faire employees work locally at
    a resteraunt in Boston called Midevil Manor (spelling?)
