This one was taken over the summer.
Looking fabulous Bodhi!
Good to hear from you again,
- Oren
Hi Bodhi,
I don't think I've ever had the chance to say hi to you as I only came on board last September, but I wanted to say a warm hello and welcome back! I have always admired your hair and actually have referred to your hair when commenting to other curly haired guys, your hair is such an inspiration.
Your hair (and beard) looks awesome beyond words, everything just ROCKS! What an inspiration to the curly-haired guys here.
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks David! I appreciate and enjoy your regular postings and activity on the board and congratulations on becoming a moderator.
Thanks for the congratulations, Bodhi! I honestly think this is the best site on the internet right now and to get the invitation to be on the team was a real honour, I accepted immediately.
All the best,
David
You're looking great! Welcome back to the board. I hope you ipdate more often!
cheers, Pete
Good to see you (and your fabulous hair) again !!
Thanks for Sharing and keep in touch.

Excellent!!!
Whoa! Amazing curls! Your hair is in perfect condition and your curls give you a lot of volume. You really have wonderfully healthy hair. Good luck in achieving your terminal length (it might not be that close) ;)
I hope your right grrrrr, I would love more length, as long as it stays healthy. thanks.
It's been a long time since you did an update, but it sure was worth the wait! As usual, your hair looks great, and I have to say that that hair of yours is the benchmark by which I judge my own progress. While I don't have the volume you have, I do have the "curl-age" you do, so I can emulate it to some degree.
I do have a question or two though...
1) What products do you use, especially after shampoo and conditioning - like gels, leave-ins, etc?
2) Are these pictures "ideal" hair days, or just an every day occurence?
3) What do you do in the morning to get your hair looking good - that is, do the curls get flattened out overnight, and what do you do to get them curled back up again?
Thanks, and stick around more!
Bragi
Thanks alot Bragi! I always thought that we had similar hair and I look forward to seeing how yours looks as you grow it out. I'll try to answer your questions.
I used to use Dep pomade after washing but they must have discontinued it because I haven't been able to find it these last couple of months. So I have been experimenting with various products but still haven't found the right one yet. I'll let you know if I do. I don't like my hair to feel waxy, crunchy, or sticky so the search continues.
Yes and no. I wash my hair every 5 to 6 days. My hair looks the way it does in the pictures for the first 2 or 3 days, then the next 2 or 3 days it starts to get a little fizzier and messier looking.
I only use gels, pomades, etc. right after washing , when hair is wet. Every morning after that I use Infusium 23 leave-in, just a little bit to smooth out the frizzies. That's the best leave-in that I have found. The main tubes don't get flattened out and retain their shape until the next washing, but it's the other stray hairs and smaller curls and ringlets that get frizzy. I only brush when my hair is soaked in conditioner, I know your not supposed to but it's impossible to get a comb or brush through my hair when dry. Plus I'm careful and never have breakage or split ends, well almost never. I hope that answers your questions.
Mighty fine hair you have!
Hey, Bodhi. You have some very unique hair. Your curls are very healthy and so...perfect....Wow. Thanks for sharing that awesome update.
Wow! Your hair is great! You serve as an inspiration for all of us curlies.

Lovely Locks! Keep it growing!

His broad clear brow in sunlight glowed;
On burnished hooves his war horse trode;
From underneath his helmet flowed
His coal-black curls as on he rode,
As he rode down to Camelot.
From the bank and from the river
He flashed into the crystal mirror,
"Tirra lirra" by the river

Very cool indeed Bragi, I actually printed that out. Thanks.
The curls look awesome! They're nice and tight and it must have taken a lot of dedication and patience to grow it. Keep it growing, it looks fantastic.

Your long hair is fantastic!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing the photos with all of us.
Great inspiration to be sure.
Bodhi, you probably have the best looking long ringlet curls I have ever seen. Your hair is superb. I see it is about 4 inches past your waist now, when stretched out. Amongst those with curly hair, you probably have the longest of any guy here. Keep growing it for sure.
Absalom
Thank you Absalom! I really appreciate your comments. Your extreme length has always been an inspiration for me. I will continue to grow it as long as nature intends.
Haha, dude, it got longer! Wow. What an inspiration. Your ringlets are elegant and yet warrior-esque; you bring to mind some unnamed Greek deity. The curls with the full beard are a cant-lose combo.
I fear my hair is actually curlier than yours, but you're an undeniable inspiration, nonetheless, and if my hair ends up anything like yours, it'll be a day to celebrate! And, on that note, this update is good reinforcement that curly hair DOES grow long. I know almost all of us curlies sink into "terminal" depression (no pun intended) when our hair appears to not be doing anything.
Great ponytail, too; I believe this is the first time you've showed us one.
Keep up the astounding work, man.
Peace
Thanks Fallen_angels! I look forward to your updates because we have similar hair, but yours may be a little bit curlier. But don't worry yours will get really long to, it just may take a couple of more years. Thanks again for your kind words....Bodhi
