i differ with you that this is a victory for longhairs... it's merely recognition that some religious beliefs require that men grow hair and beards. the judge himself commended the policy- unless you're a member of a church that forbids cutting your hair, you'd still need to conform to the uniform policy. as i understood from the article, the victory was not a victory for personal expression, more a setback as the precedent has been set and a clearer line has been drawn defining how an employer can infringe on our freedom.
When you are confronted with this issue to cut your hair, state that it is against your religious principles.
if they still insist that you get your locks chopped off, seek some support by other like-minded people.
If a Woman is permitted to have waist length hair on the job then you should too. afterall this is suppose to be a Equal Opportunity Society and I think rules should apply to all.
