  My hair is almost collar length and wondering how much longer until i can wear my hair in a ponytail or in a braid?

    Are your bangs also collar length? I doubt that since we know you haven't had a cut yet. I'd say since you're at the beginning about 10 months at most for the easiest tightest ponytail and another 8 for a more comfortable one.

      In my case, I tied my first ponytail at 11 months of growth (collar lenght, with boby pins for the bangs). All the hair fitted in the tie at 18 months I guess.

      For braids you've got to wait much longer. In my case, I had to wait for the 26th month mark... And that was not far ago =P
