I expect this to be a unanimous "no", but do the men here wear their hair in pigtails? When I get my dreads put in (eventually) I may do them like that...
Not very common but why would you care? If you want to wear them in pigtails do it. I didn't know you were gonna get dreads, good luck in accompishing it! :)
I'll get them by backcombing it, I don't want to leave it for 2 or 3 years without washing or combing it.
It is not very common amongst men, However, Some men do wear pigtails. A perfect example would be chris pontius from the show "The Wild Boys". Every now and then he wears pigtails.
A unanimous no? No way. Pigtails in their unbraided form aren't that common on guys (with a small exception for guys with dreads, as there are many back home (I'm from the Caribbean) who do just about every hairstyle conceivable), but braided pigtails are a bit more often seen. I've seen a number of guys post pictures of pigtails on this board, and the majority of them have been braided. Willie Nelson is a good example of a guy with braided pigtails, so much so that those types of pigtails are sometimes called Willie Nelson braids. Heck, even my biker English teacher wore them once. :P
For a dreadhead, though, I'd recommend regular pigtails, but in the end, it doesn't matter. It's just a hairstyle. If people don't like it, well, too bad for them.
Peace
I saw a guy a couple of weeks ago with a full beard and long braided pigtails. That looked really good actually so yeah, go for it mate!
Sure. I wear ,my hair in pigtails as i'm in a call centre. It's something I have done for a while and although I work with almost all girls it seems to be popular. Freedom - go for it.c
I have waist lenght hair have on occasion worn pigtails.
I've been a great admirer of Willie Nelson
In UK English a pigtail or plait (pronounced platt) is what Americans call a braid, and twin ponytails are called bunches. I often wear my hair in a pigtail (singular).
Of course! I never thought of that. Pigtails are twin ponytails here (England), and that is what I meant. That's why I expected a "no"
