Since im new to growing my hair out how long should i want before getting anything done to my hair?
You should wait at least 1 year in my opinion and in some cases 2 years works best (gives you more length). Just don't do anything to damage it like blowdrying, curling, straightening, using harsh products or exposing it to high temperatures.
By the way, why don't you read FAQ on How to be A Longhair by Bill Choisser and other useful tips in the links section. That would save you a lot of questions. It's so easy.
