I'm going to a function Saturday where I want to look as
conservative as possible. My normal ponytail is very poofy.
Would multiple ties make it look more conservative?
I think its called a segmented ponytail.
Any comments would be welcome.
Thanks
for me. Multiple ties will keep your hair well contained and protect it from tangles as well. If your hair is poofy like you said, you will have to space them closer for good control, maybe 2 inches apart. You will have to try it to see what works best for you. Mine are at about 4 inch intervals.

I think using multiple hairties gives a very conservative look to long hair. I prefer finding hair ties that all match (usually brown, "blonde", black, or other colors that look subtle against the hair).
My hair length is no where near the length of Absalom's; but to me, ANY length can look flattering with a segmented ponytail... try it out!!

I usually don't care for the segmented look, but, I must admit that it looks great on you. That shaped, close-trimmed beard goes well with it, too.
Thanks for your suggestions!!
