Still growing from a completely shaved head. One trim at the 2 year mark, but that's it. I suppose my hair is what I'd call "long" but despite it's length, it's a serious pain in the ass.
I think I'm going to finish out this year, and see if I'm satisfied at the 3 year mark, but despite the fact my income come strictly from writing, and I don't have any senseless "fashion code" to adhere to, going to the gym as much as I do is a problem.
If I do cut it, I can honestly say I stuck it out for the long haul. I think 3 years shows I grew on much than a whim, and if I'm not happy then, I'll go back to short hair.
By the way, Jojoba oiled ends is key to leaving trims out of the hair regimen. Trust me, I'm a testament to that! They don't call it liquid gold for nothing.

Congratulations, Zac! You have made it to the second year. Your hair looks great and suits you quite well. Great update!
Awesome B&W pic. Awesome hair. Yay for jojoba! You seem to have achieved that critical goal length we all strive for: off the bottom of the frame, lol.
Very impressive for 2.5 yrs.
Hey Thanks Steve,
Just curious, how long it took achieve your current length? That's about what I'm aiming at as far as a goal. And yes, Jojoba is glorious.
This is a little over 5 years from a flat-top. I think my growth rate is about average. I did make one minor trim for split-ends that took about half an inch off the very longest bits.
Zac, you have a lovely mane. Although long hair can be a hassle, it is well worth it. You have come so far, it would truly be sad to give up on what you have worked so hard on to attain. What takes years to grow takes only minutes to destroy. It is your hair and your ultimate choice, of course. Finally, Jojoba oil is wonderful for hair, I use it.

Absolutely fantastic long hair and looks great!
The hair looks really good, man. Your hair and your face in general is very reminiscent of Glenn Danzig.
Looks great Zac, it would be a dying shame to cut it all off, particularly after all this time you have put in the dedication, and maintenance of it. Keep it I say, but its your hair.!
Hi Zac,
Your mane is outstanding in every way, thick and healthy, and it grows fast. That is amazing progress for only 2 1/2 years from a shave head, it is so long that all your hair does not even show in the frame! I do hope that you keep growing your hair when you reach the 3 year mark. Naturally, the choice has to be yours to make, but my opinion is that it would be tragic to give up something that you have worked so hard to achieve.
All the best,
David
Wow! Your long hair is amazing! I mean it suits you perefectly too. It would really be a shame if you cut it all short. Aren´t there any other options? Like myabe braiding it when you go to the gym or maybe just trim it a little?
Great hair, even though the pic is black and white it can be seen that your hair is black or at least very dark. It suits you very well and it's an amazing progress for only two and a half years!! =} Keep it growing!
that's why I don't wash my mane everyday.I'd be pretty pissed at my hair if I had to wash it everyday too.it just takes too long to dry,and even the blowdryer is a bit of a hassle now that my mane is gaining some decent length(not as long as yours yet).I wash every 3-4 days.I plan to get a shower cap to keep from water touching my hair on non wash days.i figure that my hair looking like crap on some days is still better than having short hair don't you think? ^_^ hope you decide to keep it,you have an awesome mane, but ultimately it's your decision.
Wow! *envy* That is one awesome head of hair. Keep growing it if you can. It looks great!

Well it looks great now Zac, so even if you decide to cut it it won't be because it didn't look terrific. Hope you can find a way to keep it despite problems with it working out at the gym.
Glad you updated us and I hope you are not too much of a starving artist :)
If you cut your hair it'd be a huge loss. You arent gonna shave once you reach the target right? I think long hair really makes most people (even ugly old man) look pretty!
Awesome hair and congrats on making it to 2.5 years.
I should try jojoba oil sometime.
Keep it growing

Two-and-a-half years? How is that possible? I haven't been able to get my hair to grow that well in two-and-a-half DECADES. ~LOL~ It's gorgeous, of course.
