Whoa! That is mind-blowingly awesome hair! You have no taper all the way to the extremely long ends.
Interesting that you would mention that. For years, literally, I had been talking about cutting it -- just to get rid of the split ends that were really a holdover from before I knew how to take care of my hair! At first I didn't want to lose the length that I knew I'd have to take off to get most all the nasty out in one go, and then I just kinda got used to it. Also, my girlfriend at the time kept telling me to let her do it -- which was a bit of a scary idea. She wanted to layer it, too. Finally, I just got so sick of how the stuff would tangle and grab the brush that one day after washing it, I got out an extra hair tie, tied it off in two spots about an inch and a half apart, and SNIP! That is why there is NO taper in it -- this was less than two months ago! The ex warned me before that it would look "weird" down if I did this, but I think it looks fine, although in the pic the ends are a bit bunchy because it had been in a braid for most of the preceding day.
Wow, what a gorgeous mane, just lovely. It would probably eventually look similar to my hair if you just let it fully grow out. (click on my avatar photo to see)
I realize having hair that long can be a problem for some people. I know a guy with long blond hair. He is a carpenter and his hair gets caught in his tool belt when it gets too long. Due to this he trims it along his waistline.
Anyway, your hair looks great.

WOW, that's really long! It looks amazing and appears you haven't yet reached terminal length. Truly a LONGGGGG hair!
Thanks for sharing this inspirational picture of your mane which is awesome beyond words. What is especially noticeable is how great the condition of your hair is, and how thick your hair is even at the ends. This is an indication that you are FAR from terminal length, and could grow it a lot longer if you wish.

I can usually calculate height to one inch plus or minus from seeing a full length photo from the front. From the braid photo, I estimate about 6'3". It does not show his face but shows his head from which I can extrapolate his height. He is tall which makes his hair even more magnificent.

Actually I am only about 5'10", but I look a little taller (skinny). The photo's shot from a bit above navel height, which does make me look quite a bit taller than I am. Maybe I have an odd shaped head. :]
Wow, did I get that wrong. You are about the same height as me. I am amazed, I can usually calculate height to plus/minus one inch. It had to be the low camera angle that threw me off. Also, having very long hair and being skinny will make you look taller. I normally take these factors into account when estimating a person's height.
Anyway, you have fantastic hair. Really nice.

Awesome looks great I was going to ask for a picture with your hair down to as you can see it in all its natural glory but i didnt like to probably because ive seen quite a few braid pictures and i thought it was cool Id like to ask you how do you wear your hair mainly in your own time ???

I used to split the time pretty evenly between twist-bunned and braided. Now I'm leaning hard towards braided, and I only bun it when I am showering without washing it or if I'm in a big rush and don't have time to braid it. I have not gone out with it down in ages, although if I am out with it in a bun and someone wants to see it down I have few qualms about taking it down for a minute. Not so for the braid, LOL!
Thats such an awesome head of hair. I have seen a picture of your hair braided and your hair down. Can you post a picture of your hair in a bun? That would be great. Cant wait to see that.

Very inspirational hair. Just curious on what other styles you wear so that I can have an idea. My hair is currently lower back length, and I mostly wear it in a bun all day, it feels like short hair because its all wrapped up. Do you alse use hair sticks? Click on my avatar and you can see a bigger picture of my hair.
Can you post some more pics of hairs in bun, braid etc? would love to see them

Wow. You must have been growing it out for quite some time, and you've trimmed it to about the length I think I would trim. I don't have all my locks long enough to trim evenly there yet, though.
Dang, dude. There should be a law against having hair that awesome. :P Once again, you've done stupendous work, and it shows. Tremendous achievement, this.
