Its been now just over a year. I had about6 hair check-ups at my stylist shop. Its been fun. Now I can pull it back in a pony tail. I have to hair spray the spots that do not go into the holder. Is hairspray acceptable. It looks ok.
Congratulations on your 1 year mark! Looks great but did you really need all those trims? Hairspray is okay but it depends on the spray and what you use it for. How long are you gonna grow it? =}
Thanks dude. I was following my stylists plan to cut the tips (only 1/8 inch), because it helps it grow and keeps it healthy also it saved me from going through the mullet stage and she gave me styling tips along the way. She's the best. And she was very supportive. Oh and I decided to go by psychnurse.
I think I want to grow it to the 1 1/2 years mark. Then evaluate it from there.
I use a leave-in conditioner for the same purpose, Bed Head Ego Boost. It has a light hold and tames flyaways, but it is not stronger than hairspray. I can easily comb it out mid-day if I want, and it won't flake.
I used gel on the shorties. ^ checkups? did you get splits trimmed or what? If so I would re-evaluate how you are careing for it. at your length you should have minimal split ends to deal with. I am at 26 months and just got rid of a brush that was damaging. Always learning here. I am going in for my first trim if I can find sombody I can trust to do it.
She was good and did the tips. By cutting the tips I was able to avoid the mullet and keep it even all around. I use consort for men hairspray, but once it is long enough not to use it I will not put anything in. Thanks
Yeah, it looks OK. Good for your and congrats
