Hi, All:
Just colored my hair yesterday with Herbatint Natural Hair Colour and I'm really pleased with how it came out. Thought I'd share some pics.
side view.
Looks great Randy, I like the color, is that an auburn shade?
Is herbient a dye based product?
Thanks, Chris. As I understand it, Herbatint is not dye-based, and is "free from harsh chemicals and ammonia".
The color in the pic is somewhat misleading (my camera is pretty cheap). The shade I used was "light blonde" which took it up a shade or 2 from what I had which was more of a dark golden blonde. This took most of the golden tones out, which is what I wanted.
Hi Randy,
The colour looks great! I would assume since the dye is a natural product that it is not damaging? I also have to add that your hair has grown a HUGE amount since your avatar (when was your avatar picture taken, btw?), your growth rate must have taken off lately. Your hair is looking great, I would say it's time to contact Oren and have your avatar changed to do your new hair length justice.
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks, David--yeah, this stuff is supposed to be non-damaging; sure hope so, anyway. Believe it or not, my avatar pic was only about 15 months ago and it is kind of obsolete by now. I need to have someone take a candid shot of me--if I'm posing, I usually have an expression on my face like my front-view pic!!
Oh man, MAD huge difference from your avatar! Your hair has a nice wave to it and the color looks really cool. Keep it growing, it's AWESOME!

Thanks!! As you can see, I do change colors quite often.
The color looks great, Randy! I really like the half-tail too. =)
-James
Thanks, I'm real pleased with the color. And the half-tail braid is my favorite style.
Looks great, Randy. How long have you been growing your hair out?
Thanks--I coming up on 6 years from a buzz cut--but with considerable abuse and ill-advised trims along the way.
It would be impossible to say other than the colour looks great and that you have an outstanding-looking mane right now.
As for the colour? What you used sounds the least harmful of all, but then I myself have never coloured my hair. (Actually, my own personal belief is that hair is a bit tougher then we guys posting here might give it credit for.)
In any event, it probably wouldn't hurt to get some Shampoo from a Salon for colour treated hair just in case.
Enjoy! :-)
Thanks for the encouragement, Justin. And I agree completely, hair can take a lot more than we give it credit for. But thanks to this board, I do take much better care of it than I used to.
You're very right there Justin, my brothers and I's hair combined destroyed a vacuum cleaner lol!
Neil
THANKS!!
Looks excellent Randy, love the colour and the body. Congratulations on a fine head of hair!
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement!!
