I've been using Head and Shoulders 2 in 1 Smooth and Silky and it's been working well. Is H&S bad for your hair?
Whenever I try "natural" products they leave my hair feeling dirty and itchy.
Most people say anti-dandruff shampoos are harsh, but I've always used them and haven't noticed any damage from them (hair is now mid-back).

I have always heard that anti-dandruff shampoos are a bit harsh on the hair. They tend to dry your hair alot and dry hair leads to breakage.
I use head and shoulder every now and then to clear my scalp. The shampoo really helps clear any dandruff and other unwanted oils on the scalp, however since the shampoo contains cones, like most shampoo I dont use it everyday. However I can probably make my own cone free dandruff shampoo by adding Zinc Pyrodone in Sodium laureth sulphate and add some jojoba oil to it to keep it from totally drying out my hair. However I cant justify the cost because a small amount of ZP cost as much as a whole bottle of head and shoulders. People only make their own shampoo to match salon products that cost a ton of money.
I don't really know if it's really bad for your hair, but I believe it's quite harsh on it. From my experience of H&S it just dried my hair up and made it feel straw like. But it did clean my scalp very well. It seems its a shampoo aimed more at you head than your hair!
