In regards to my previous posting: here's a shot of the back.
This is 2.5 years from a completly shaved head. I'm talking cue ball status, which strangely enough was much more work than my hair at it's current length.
Onto the real point of this post. Restraining options.
Suggestions on good quality ties (or clasps whatever) where to find them, etc. That would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Zac
I'd have to say that's really long for 2.5 years.you've been blessed for sure.it looks great too.
well, have you tried tailing your hair?that's what I do.you'll find good quality ties at walmart, that's where I got mine.

Lol. Ya'll are pretty funny :) Just go into any drug store, grocery store, dollar store, Walmart-type store and buy a bunch of different hair ties (avoiding the metal is a good idea) and see what works best for you. Depends on how active you are and how tight you want your tail to work etc etc....
I find sometimes I buy a bunch of elastics, but they just aren't stretchy enough to wrap a full three times, or they're too stretchy and have to wrap a million times blah blah blah. Just experiment, you have gorgoues long hair, just play with it! *Thumbs up*
Zac, that's excellent for 2.5 years. I'm at almost 4 years and my hair is approximately the same length. As for tying it back, I like to use good quality hair elastics to put it into a ponytail. It works for me...
Hi Zac,
I just wanted to say your hair looks superb, it is thick and healthy and grows FAST. Thast is amzing progress from a totally shaved head!
As for hair ties, the best ones are those without the little metal band in them that can catch on your hair and cause damage. There are a large variety of hair ties and clasps in the hair section of my Wal-Mart, so it should be easy to check them out and find the best ones for you. Some guys have also used plastic clasps that are easy to use and cause virtually no damage, I remember Jason wearing one lately. If you check out his website in the links section, you can see the clasp he used in one of his pictures, I have seen these in my Wal-Mart as well.
Hope this helps and looking forward to more pictures!

That's great hair Zac, keep on growing!
I find these to be the best. I think I got them at Stop & Shop, a regional supermarket in the the northestern USA. They should be available worldwide at various stores. www.goody.com

Hey your hair looks great!! I wear mine in a tail at work and its the same length as yours, I don't usually put it in to tight and use cloth covered bands. Hope all is good and keep it up! Take care!!
One warning...anything with a metal edge that is touching or clasping the hair can cause damage over time. Ditto with plastic...if there are edges on the moulding lines, you may want to file or sand those down.
Besides what else is suggested here, for a long time my regular hair clip was one of the slide barrettes from www.bronzejewelers.com they also have clip barrettes...they are all made out of formed wire, so there is no edge on them to scrape against the hair.
Wow, that's some fast growing hair! It looks very thick and soft and I love black! It will probably be incredibly long in another year or two! :)
Hi
Zac
got no suggestions but its better to use hair ties that contain NO METAL in ties itself Im sure it will suit you in a ponytail but It will still look alot better Down on you well thats my opinion.

I like the scrunchies you can get from Claire's (UK). I'd imagine they would stock similar stuff in the US stores. My mates hated me dragging them in there but if you can cope with the tweeny girl surroundings, not all the gear they sell is plasticky junk. They have tons of hair ties without horrible bits of metal in them. And I got a free pink pen. Result.
No help here on the hair tie thing, but you've got a great head of hair to put them in!

You are a very fortunate fellow indeed to have acheived such a great length of hair in relatively so short a time.
I have heard that the very best hair ties are those without metallic joiners which are all cloth or are all a continuous, sinuous band that come in many colors; however, I seldom employ hair ties and actually have only tied my hair back once since it has once again regained such a length which would support a hair tie's employ, so to that end I can be of little help.
Great hair! it grows quite a bit eh? Keep it growing.
I like it the way it is.
Jeffrey.
