How do you guys feel about having real long sideburns? I don't mean 70s-style overgrown messy sideburns, but relatively neat, trimmed "stripes" which I feel can compliment long hair. Myself, I like to try different things; sometimes I keep them trimmed even with the bottom of the ears, and sometimes I grow them all the way down to my jawline. I find I like the look, especially when my hair's in a pony and the sideburns are really visible.
a guy who can carry off long sideburns is a real turn-on, especially if they're nicely shaped and trimmed.
You mean like Quentin (David Selby) in Dark Shadows?
Chaz,
Wow, that's sure a relief!

(The above is a smiley for those tacky 70's sideburns!)
If you like it, go for it! Might also be a nice and unique look to have the long hair in a ponytail, long sideburns & about 1" earrings, either loops or danglies.

I have them right now, but I often think of them as a winter look, and I'm thinking to shave them in a few days.
I think they give a darker look-I guess I got the idea from Glen Danzig first. I thought they had a menacing look.
I used to have them with two "barbs", one on my cheek and one below my jaw-but I haven't had that in years.
