I see that last week Ari Koivunen was the final winner in the Finnish Idols contest. MikeS had brought him to our attention when Ari was voted in to semi-finals.
It's refreshing to see that at least in other countries, a longhair and a rocker to boot can do well in these "popularity" contests. American Idol is just too sicky, popsicle sweet for me to care about.
Also noted was that Kristian Meurman, another longhair did pretty well, and that one of the judges was also a longhair.

It just shows the people in Finland are good judges and don't get hung up on longhair being a bad thing like the so called talentless shows we see come from across the pond. I hope people in the USA don't patronise Simon Cowell and his ego!!!
