How long can hair get before it stops growing. I was hoping there is no real trouble with that prob till it gets down to your waist. I only want shoulder or mid-back length. I can never really tell if my hair is growing a lot or not because I have wavy hair and somedays it is more wavy than others so it varies. I wash my hair at least every other day and use a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. Also can using gel slow down the growth????
Some of those Samson guys mention elaborate techniques for keeping it waist length. Sounds like a lot of work.
I'm not one of those Samson guys, but my elaborate technique for keeping my hair waist length consists of:
1. Don't cut it.
2. Wait till it grows to waist length.
Sorry for having so many steps to keep track of there!
Each person's hair grows to a different maximum length. For most people, hair grows for 3-5 years, at about 6" a year, then falls out. This happens at different times across the head so 50 hairs a day are lost but overall the hair seems to be stay at the same length if it is not cut.
