My hair is about 15 inches long (measured from the top of my head). People around me are used to it, even
they may not like it. My wife has asked to cut it for a while. But it looks that she gave it up recently.
My problem is that, several times a year, it is not convenient for me to wear my long hair to some very
important events. Because these events, I have to cut my hair at least once per year. Therefore never get the chance to grow my hair to the length, which I desired. Is this possible for me to cover my long hair with a wig in these events? Then I don't need to cut my hair every year. This time, I really want to grow my hair much longer to have a long ponytail. Some time ago, I guess when my hair was about mid-back, I visited a wig store to see about this very possibility. The lady who helped me spent some time pinning up my hair so that the wig hid it. It worked very well. However, it would be difficult for me to do on myself. I didn't like the feel of the wig or its hair either. In the end, I decided not to be a hypocrite about my hair and showed up to court with a clean pony tail and conservative dress. I ended up winning the case. I found out afterwards that the judge had a son about my age with a long pony tail.

They have a specific section for men's shorter wigs, but you may even find something in the women's section that you could get cut and styled locally that is a better match for your features.
The quality of what they sell is excellent, and they're cool people to deal with. Prices aren't too bad, either. For a couple times a year, this sounds like a good compromise, and 15 inches or even more isn't too much to hide underneath for a short period. Hope this helps!
