I canceled the apointment... I was really scared to loose lenght so I decided not to trim. I was under preasure to trim it but I still like my ends. Tough my biggest fear is that the trim would accelerate my growth, do you guys really think that would be possible?
Here is a picture from my hair taken today... It's the wash day so it might be a little oily in the roots, but I think the camera was nice to me =)

Your hair looks absolutely WONDERFUL, thick and healthy, and this is the shiniest I have ever seen it. In my opinion, you don't need a trim at all, there is no damage evident in this picture at all, your ends looks great!
The idea that getting trims makes the hair grow faster is strictly a rumour, hair does grow from the roots, after all, not from the ends, as hair is dead once it grows out from your scalp. The only reason trims may APPEAR to cause hair to grow faster is when the ends are severely damaged and constantly breaking off, a trim may prevent this. This does NOT apply to your hair, as it is in excellent condition. a trim would only slow down progress in your case.

Trimming does not increase growth rates - rather sets them back!
the only thing it can do is remove strays in which case the more uniform length can give the appearance of that.
You made the right decision. I know that you were feeling some pressure to trim, but whenever you have even the slightest doubt, do not trim.
Your hair is glorious, shiny and healthy looking. Trimming does *not* accelerate growth rate. Your growth rate has been very good anyway.
Trimming is only helpful when you are really sick of severely damaged ends. Your hair looks healthy right to the tips!

I think you made a wise choice in not getting that trim considering all is going ever so well. You're an expert at long hair now and you will know when it is really time that a "dusting" is in order. The photo shows outstanding as well as healthy-looking long hair.

I think you made the right decision and you should not trim just for the pressure or for the sake of it. You really have wonderful looking hair there, the natural colour and lovely waves. We don't all have to go for the str8 edged blunt cut and there is nothing wrong having the natural "v" like Justin.
I've not had a trim in about 3 years and mine looks healthy and yes I have a few split ends but I don't worry about it.
Keeping growing and you are a great asset to the community.

Don't worry about cancelling the appointment for the trim. I've done that myself, --- more than once, in fact (although I try not to push my luck with hair stylist's patience - lol). If you're not ready, you're not ready. And judging from the pic, it doesn't look like you really needed a trim, anyway!
You'll know if your split ends get bad enough to warrant a professional trim. Besides seeing splits, you can tell by the texture of the hair, when it gets very rough-feeling, scratchy, and snarls and snags a lot. That's when I don't mind sacrificing a little length (but even then, usually just half an inch).

Trimming hair definitely doesn't make it grow faster! I cut off 6" a few months ago, and think it's growing slower than ever. =o(
If you want to grow out your hair, stay away from hair stylists! lol
Just keep doing what you're doing, because it seems to be working wonderfully. =o)
I think you have some of the sexiest hair I have ever seen. I hope you grow ir forever. I hope you take and submit some photos of yourself with your hair when wearing speedo or bikini trunks. They would be extremely hot!
