Hi there,
As you asked Jacob here is a update picture not the best as I don't like taking self portraits lol, and perhaps should carry a government health warming!!!
Here goes :

Lookin' AWESOME there, John, --- and no, no need at all for any "government health warning" (lol)!!
That's impressive length there, too. You said in your from the back shot that it almost reaches belt-length when wet. Sounds a lot like my length, --- and my guess is that both of our manes grow at approximately the same rate, since I will hit the 7-year mark this coming June.
Take care, --- and keep it growin'!

Hi John B,
I'm so happy to see you making updates and such. It's so good to hear your fighting back against these maladies that've befell you. Hair looks great of course, and hope all is well in ancient Albion.
Rather than the North-east wind, you can sit back and listen to that gentle West wind play an Aeolian harp now!
You must have taken Mr. Churchill's words to heart and adopted that British indefatigability!
"We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."
-- W. Churchill (June 4, 1940)

Hi John,
Your hair is looking AWESOME there! I had NO idea that your hair was so long, what an inspiration to us all. Your beard is looking superb as well. Thank you so much for sharing these pictures with us.
All the best,
David
Hi David,
Thanks for the nice comments. I know I have said this before on the forum but I just can't quite quantify what "awesome" really means s everyone uses it a jusr doesn't quite to state of how good something is like "beautiful" etc.
John.B
It's like "groovy" for non-hippies.
Bill
Thanks Bill I can equate to that..:-)
Thanks for clarifying the meaning of the word "awesome" to John for me, Bill, MUCH appreciated! I did not realize that John did not care for the term "awesome", I guess that is a term only used in North America. I tend to use the word when intending the highest praise. I did not realize it would offend him, and my apologies to John for that. I DO have to brush up on the correct terms to use when making compliments to people from other countries, lol!
David
I would not worry about it David as we know we speak the same language but with a few variations. You should try and compare a cockney accent and a scottish one and try to understand both.

Thanks for the upsates, John. Nice to see your progress over time. You're (as always) looking great!
hugs, Pete
Hi Pete,
Thanks for your kind comments and like I said on a previous post the last update picture was great and ignore those people that think they know best when it comes to trimming beards. I also noticed he didn't reply after that!!!
Cheers,
John.B
Really nice John and thank you for posting these photos. I had no idea that your hair was this long and it looks superb! Another good example of what will happen if one doesn't monkey-around with even-ups and trims and just let the hair grow on its own. In the end all turns out fine.
Looking good John! I think it's a very good picture, the photographer did well:D I have the same problem, I look at a photo of myself and think, No that won't do. But I've learned that I am over critical of myself and see my image differently than others do. I guess it's the same for all of us.
Wishing you countinued progress, health & happiness,
Bruce
Hey John, your hair looks great and it's so long... I hope your health is better and your life is much better :)
Splendid! Your hair looks superb! I had no idea your hair was that LONG. I really like the color(Colour). It suits you quite well. Thank you for sharing this inspirational update with all of us.
Cheers!
Hey John
That is a terrific picture as I had only ever seen your
avatar so had no idea what your hair looked like. I think this current picture is a good one to see how long your hair is but I just also think it is a good portrait too. Not caring too much about a picture can sometimes give you a nice relaxed look and this one feels like that. Very friendly :)
Your portrait looks good to me, John.
You have a lovely mane there, with have a great variety of colours in it too. Keep growing it for sure.
Absalom
Great looking mane John!
Thanks for the update,
- Oren
