Hi everyone, this is my six month update from a skinhead.I know it still looks short, but believe me, for me this is long.Really enjoying new look and feeling that hair brings, dont even mind the grey . ha ha. Cheers everyone. Jonny H. uk

I'd say that's great progress, --- especially considering it's from a skinhead!
It's all relative, what one person defines as "long" vs. "short". To me, my hair is still "too short"; but that's because I'd like it down to my knees (whereas right now it's only touching the top of my belt - lol)!!
Society in general considers men to be "longhairs" when the hair finally rests somewhere on the shoulders. But, as we all know, many white-collar jobs in Western society consider hair to be "long" on men even if it's only touching the collar. We've had plenty of guys who have come here for support who only wish to grow their hair to a moderate length; but most of us here have found that once we've grown even just a little bit of a mane, it's even more fun to grow MORE!
Do you have a goal length? Your hair looks great, by the way!

Hi i am living in england and i am at around the same stage as you.
I feel like my hair is 'long' now :P It is on my eyebrows at the front and over my ears, it feels strange compared to a shaved style.
Feels good as well when you can run your hands through it and do something with it! Taking care of it is more a joy than a hinderence to me too.
Keep it going :P

From a Skinhead to what you have attained in 6 months looks very good to me and looks as if you are right on target with the 1/2" per month average growth-rate of hair.
Just hang in there. You WILL be a longhair in time. And when looking back it suddenly seems as if it didn't really take that long. Kind of funny how that works.

Congrats on making it to six months! It's a great first milestone. You hair looks great, and I'm glad you don't mind the grey. I think it adds to the style.

Hi Johnny; welcome to the board. There are several of us "Old Farts" on here who also have the gray blend, or what I refer to as "racing stripes"!
I started from a "businessman's cut"; am now at 16 months and loving it more and more each day. It seems to go by slow but is well worth the time investment.
Stick with it; you will be glad you did.

Your hair is looking great for only 6 months from a shaved head. I would like to extend a warm congratulations for sticking with the journey to long hair, it can be difficult at times, but the pot of gold you will find at the end of the rainbow is WELL worth it.
I also wanted to say again a warm thank you for your kind words in my 3 year update, I am thrilled to be a source of inspiration.
