Long hair for men can come in many different styles. I would like to ask the men out there what their favorite style is. Right now, my hair is all one length and past my shoulders. And also what other styles are available for men with long hair?
Mine's all one length as well, and just a few inches above my waist (when all of it's hanging down the length of my back). When I'm wearing it down, I either part it just off center, or to the left. When I have it in a ponytail, I use either a large, black velvet scrunchie, or a black satin ribbon with a "traditional" hair-tie (the thin kind with a metal connector) hidden underneath that does the real job of holding the tail in place.
Speaking of which, I really need to get some back shots taken of myself, with my hair down, wearing the scrunchie, and wearing the ribbon. Then, I'll have 'em scanned and posted here.
I have the "conserative" look. Short on the side and long in the back
(just 5 more inches and it will be at my waist). I have to look "neat" because of the conservative office I work in. Just recently I put in a pony yail and the boss liked it better. I noticed a lot of guys where it like mine, but most have all one length. Long hair is getting popular again in the Midwest!! It is either long hair or shaved. Hope this helps.
I live in the Southeast where it is warm or hot most of the year.. Guys here including myself almost always wear a ponytail in the summer.. I personally like mine in a long braid, but very few men here wear one.. Short in front, long in back is probably the most common.. (mine is all one length just below the blades..)

I've just started to grow out my hair about one year ago, it now only reached my shoulders... at job, I always wear it in a ponytail (tied up with quite thin ribbons which unfortunately have the tendency to wear out fast)... but in my free time, I usually refrain from this too stylish "designer longhair look" and wear it open, albeit preventing it from covering my face (it's all one length!) by wearing a Chitrali cap (perhaps you know these round flat woollen caps with a rollable brim, as worn in Northern Pakistan and Afghanistan), which together with my shaggy beard contributes to my wild-man-in-the-forest appearance. My hair is brown, very thick and heavy, if I grew it out to the waist like many of you here around did (and like I of course plan too :-))), it would envelop me like a silkily shining coat.
Here in Cologne, Germany, as far as I can say anything about it, long hair has returned several years ago after a - not very long - period of being out of fashion during the late 80s. Most guys here, with smooth thin "spaghetti" hair as well as with voluminous shaggy manes, wear it tied up, among university students, all in one length is common, while the "conservative" look (front and sides short) is more popular in the working class (and, then, rarely longer than just reaching the shoulders).

i think that the flip out is really popular. short hair has a lot of uniform layers, while longer hair has more of a graduated layer effect. also, since spring is coming, lots of highlights are a good thing. i like to give highlights with a couple of shades of blond.
