I'm 8 weeks into growing out my hair from a shaved head My goal is to at least grow it out 6-9 inches...maybe more.Anyway right now its beginning to look shaggy,but Im trying avoid any trims,even though I have a few cowlicks on top are there,any styling aids I can use to combat them?On the subject of conditioners,can anyone recommend any?Finally,I plan to color My hair soon.obviously since I'm going to grow My hair I'll need to do this ofter,how long should I space coloring &what brand(s)of colors can anyone recomend?.lastly,are supplements that claim fast hair growth really work,I admit I'm getting antsy like watching for the pot to boil LOL,Thank You
I too am 8 weeks-from a #1 buzz-1/4 inch ahead. It would be interesting to see how we progress. I bleached mine platinum at 1/2 inch. I liked it, but mostly I want my long hair back. I have used since then Just For Men. It's excellent- good to the hair and very controllable= you get the shade you want in from two to four minutes.
Right now it's about 11/2 to 2". I can style it into soap star ivy leauges or spike it up like Billy Idol. I can do anything with a leave in conditioner or gel and/or pomade. I am going to enjoy growing it out this time with NO awkward stages. I really enjoy coloring my hair and have been doing it regularly for the past year. It has kept in great shape, and Ive learned how to do it. Next month I'm going Billy Idol- it will help until I.m finally who I am again with Long hair. Good luck and let's keep each other posted.
