Hi everyone. How can I control the 'wings' on the side of my head. Not even strong gel can keep them down. It was a rainy day today here so they were particularly bad.
I know it can be pretty annoying, I have that too but if gel doesn't help all I can think of is hats or caps or something to hide it. Straightening or using other harsh products shouldn't be applied. Why don't you just wait till greavity takes off? It will get better.
I had the same problem, eventually they grow out and i just waited till then
I kind of liked it when that happened to me, but not everyone does. Like others have suggested, just wait it out. Soon the weight and length of your hair will keep it down.
yeah i had them too lol. My friends called it "blast off" haha. Just gotta wait it out for a few months.
When I got them it was made worse by my school uniform - It has a collar. Someone once said my hair "goes all out". Not sure if he was referring to the wings but it was very funny.
Couple of things you can try. get a round cylindrical styling brush and when your hair is damp brush the sides by rotating the brush so the sides curl inwards. as they dry they will curl out but hopefully wind up being down or slightly out. If that fails, get some hair clips that will add some weight on the sides and put them on so your sides hang down straight as they dry. the trick here is to only use enough weight to get the job done without using so much that your hair gets pulled on. not much weight is needed. remove them once your hair is dry and hopefully it will stay down. eventually when your hair is long enough, these tricks will no longer be needed.
