Are there any longhaired christians on this board, i was interseted in that, cause lots of christians are against longhaired men, do you get lot of pressure from other christains to cut your hair, and what do you tell them to 'defend' yourself.....etc etc!
PS: i'm not a christain by the way
I don't really get much pressure, except from family members, namely my sister and my mother. My father, who was in the Military doesn't really mind, and my 90 year old grandmother doesn't mind at all... Then again, my family isn't as tied into Religion as we used to be.

Your sister and mother may be trend *followers*. I've found that
women, especially younger ones, tend to follow the latest fashion, which is still shorn-back-n-sides on males, even though long hair is
coming back. When it does come back to stay for a while, they'd
probably want you to keep your style at least to the base of the
ears, because that would be the then-current fashion.

Yes, my 29 yo sister definitely. My 60 yo mother, less so. Both of them have gone to the cropped hair look that's current (my mother did that, beginning in '97, sister in '99)... Strangely enough, they both sort of regret doing that, but my sister's keeping her hair short, whereas my mother has decided to grow her hair out again.

As my website says, I am a born-again Jesus Phreak. I have found that most of the people I know look on the heart, not the exterior, as the measure of a man. This is, after all, what the Bible says to do. I'm sure that some don't like it, as a matter of taste; this is their right. However, I haven't been told to get a haircut except by those I work for (but that's another story).
Scott (of the long hair)
I found this the other day. I didn't think their arguments were very good.
