Hi all,
Made a recent trip to Helsinki. Here are some pics cum updates on myself.
First up... Me squatting on a frozen lake...
Helsinki is the host city for the summer Olympics in 1952...
The Suomenlinna Sea Fortress was built by the Swedes in the 18th Century, to defend their then Finnish Colony against the Russians. It was built by commander Augustin Ehrensvard, completed in 1748. It is currently a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I am on a link bridge near the Visitor Information Center.

Have you trimmed your hair? Seems like it should be a little
longer. Or I could be wrong.

Keen observation :). Yes, it was "over-trimmed" by my hairstylist of 12 years (as was mentioned in a reply to Lon below). Now that I'm married to my hairdresser wife, NO ONE'S ever gonna touch my hair, except for my wife :).

Just joking... Nice to hear you have an excellent marriage. I always loved Scandinavia and Nordic Countries. It was (and it still is) my dream to travel around in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Greenland AT LEAST ONCE in my lifetime.
I loved Nordic Cuisine too, the closest I could get to those food in Singapore is served in... where else... IKEA :).

It's great to hear from you again! I am SO glad you decided to come out of "hibernation" and stopped in to say hi to us here at the hyperboard, still the great community it ALWAYS is! I never got to know you very well before, but your hair was back then and still is a genuine inspiration to all of us, perfectly straight with lots of shine, LONG, and in such good condition. Hope everything is going well with you and your new wife these days. It is just so awesome to have a wife who fully appreciates your long hair.
I really enjoyed all your pictures of your trip to Finland, beautiful country on that side of the ocean. Although ICE is not something I want to see too much of right now, lol, with Spring finally making an appearance here!

I've read many of your posts on the board and you are, in my impression, a truly nice man :). I first visited this board in 1997 and it is the warmth of the board members that made me stay for this long and, at the same time, to persevere in growing my hair out in the "harsh" long hair environment in Singapore.
No worries about not knowing me too well as I think my posts were infrequent enough for anyone not to know me well :). We can keep in touch via email and I believe we'll get to know each other in great depth through that channel (ask Jim - MG).

They absofuckinlutely shredded
Too bad they inevitably broke up
and I lost touch w/ Hari
He had dreads, though
and not the amazingly beautiful long straight
head of hair that YOU boast
