Hi everyone. This is my april update.
All coming around really quickly, so happy that i am doing this, even with ALOT of critisism from others.
I had my hair cut on the front sides yesterday, but don't worry, it is nothing drastic, just to get the hair away from my ears, which is very annoying.
Here we go, it's still 'short' but soon it will be 'long' :D

Congratulations on the update! It looks longer, it's almost in your eyes but the trim seems unnecessary. Sooner or later it will have to touch your ears. How long have you been growing it out? :P
Exactly, if you want to grow it out, it's gonna have to be on your ears someday!

Since the start of november last year! It was REALLY short. Like a number 1 buzz cut on the sides, and cut as short as you can with hands and scissors on top!
The trim is basically postponing the inevitable. I remember how annoying it was when the hair always tickled at my ears, but that stage doesn't last very long. Once it's past your ears it isn't bothersome anymore. Even with the trim, though, I can tell that it's getting longer. Peace
That's good healthy hair. Short on the sides and long in the front looks good on some people.

Your bangs/Fringe are getting very long inded starting to look the part although i cant see your hair on the back but i can see the bottom of your pierced ears ill look forward to your may update

Slowly but surely... It's coming along nicely! You're going to have great long hair. Avoid the trims for awhile and just let it grow. It's the only way to get through the awkward stage quickly, as you know. =)

Yeah, I have to agree with some others. It was not a great idea to trim the sides... I mean, eventually you're going to have to do it or else you'll look weird/unbalanced.

The hair is coming along great, keep up the good work. Your hair is in great condition, trims are entirely un-necessary at this time, and will only make the process of growing out your hair take longer. Why not hold off the trims until your hair gets a LOT longer, and if you notice damage at that time, a small trim to remove splits may be useful.

It's something i actually want to do for when it grows longer.
So when i put it all back the front side bits are trimmed and everything else is long.
Next month i will post both front and back pics!

Nooooo. the picture doesn't reveal much!
The only bit thats been cut is the tiny bit at the front, nothing behind the ear, just a tiny bit.

Just that little bit at the front, so when it grows out it stays away from my ears, and looks nothing like a dreaded mullet :D
I guess I understand, but that guy is wearing a headband type device so his hair doesn't naturally look the way it does in the pic. It's probably still fairly long on the sides, just pushed back. If it wasnt' that long on the sides he wouldn't be able to push it back.

Hi DaPs, your getting there, my friend. I am at about the same timescale as you, as you have good condition hair i would give the trims a miss and suffer the awkward stage full on. It will soon be over. All the best mate, Jonny H
