Woops. Meant to say guys. No girls don't have to cut. Just has to be pulled back at all times or if it is too short they have to wear an alice band.
Apparently it is better if all the guys look the same. It keeps everyone under control. My opinion, however, is that it causes people to rebel. My cousin almost got expelled from his school because he refused to cut his hair. I always waited for them to force me to cut my hair before I actually went. I absolouty HATED haircuts.
That's typical. Hair rules for girls are rare. And what you go on to say is what we've found all along - all rules for males are based on POWER issues:
They want to CONTROL you. Women are seen as weak by power freaks so no further urge to control is seen as needed.
