At last my hair falls downwards instead of flicking outwards, and also it is resting on my shoulders and beginning to fall down my back, so at last I think I can finally say that I feel like a longhair.
Some kids shouted at me the other day "Oi, hairy man!!" LOL.
Hi Dave,
Your hair is looking SUPER there, Dave, your growth rate seems to have picked up lately, a hearty congratulations go to you, my friend! That is another milestone, to really FEEL like a longhair. The beard, as always, is positively rockin', you have a great look going on there with both the hair and beard. Keep up the great work, I am certainly looking forward to your future growth.
Keep it growing,
(one of) the (many) other Daves!
Hello Dave, Thanks for your kind comments as always. You know it 'seems' to have grown around an inch or two in the last two weeks, which of course it hasn't. I am guessing that the weight is taking over and its hanging down now, rather than boucing back up when it was shorter. Things are changing quickly in my eyes and i love it!!
Keep up your great journey too Dave!! Regards from another Dave!
Hey Dave, what a fantastic update! That inset pic is so cool with the sort of unrulely, teased hair look and the colour is awesome.Yes I do agree that you have made it to official longhairdom. Also that facial hair just adds the finishing touches to the look.I'd like to see what your hair would look like at mid back especially if it stays wavey like it is now.I guess the question now is how long is too long!! Anyway great job there as you get an A+ on this assignment.Mark
Hi Hairball, and thanks a so much for your comments! My goal is not set really, I am going to leave it for around four years then decide. As for the teased look, thats all natural, I call it 'unkept' !!
"Oi, hairy man!!" LOL. That is a LOL for sure. Your hair does look long now and has that stylishly-tousled look too. I'm sure glad to see you feeling this way, and I guess the comment from those kids means you've "arrived"!
Great picture and I like the shirt with the little deer on it.
Bragi
Thanks for your support Bragi, I hope o see an update from you too soon!
The shirt is in fact from the film 'Tom Greens' Birdhouse.
Indeed he has! Nothing makes you feel more like a longhair than to have strangers call you one. I, too, felt like the first day that happened was the day I had arrived.
Congratulations, Dave! You have a great look! A great longhair look! You hippie freak.
Bill
LOL Thanks Bill!! Thats a compliment if ever there was from a 'real' hippie freak!!
Lookin great there Dave, i had no idea your hair was this long already! It seems to have grown faster the last few months, how do you most often wear it, loose or tied back?
Simon
Hi Simon, first off may i say good luck with your decision to grow your hair long. I hope you feel more comfortable this time and ENJOY it.
I nearly always wear it down as it needs to grow maybe another inch or two for a proper tail, but the other day i visited a 'biodome' full of exotic plants from Asia and the rainforests and it was very hot and humid so I wore it up for the first time in public. I always wear a tail on my bicycle otherwise it might slow me down ;-)
Hi Nutti:
Yep, you should feel like a longhair, because your hair is no doubt 'long' per most conventional scales. Long hair seems to suit you real well. Have a nice shaped head, for the long hair to complement your features nicely.
Vince
Thanks as always Vince. As the Killers say "he looks a lot like Jesus" . . .
Wow! What a huge difference in this update! Your hair really seems to have had a growth spurt. I love how much body it has to it.
Thanks Jason, thats a real boost coming from the man with the 'perfect' long hair!!
Nuttidave, your hair is looking great! It's coming along really nicely and it can only look better from now on.
Keep it growing, hairy man!!!
-Mihnea
Oh I will!!
Thanks Mihnea.
I had almost the same comment, for exactly the same reasons. I feel as if I have moved from the awkward stage to the early longhair stage.
Looking good there, wildman!
thats it, exactly the same, it just seems to have changed, it must be the weight.
Thanks and keep growing BG!!
WOW! Look at the thickness in the back... You must've had a growth spurt over the past month. That is some awesome hair, Dave! =)
-James
Thanks James, I don't ever see the back so i was surprised!
Glad you feel that way nuttidave...'cuz you look like a longhair!
Take care and keep it growin'!
Brett
Thanks a lot Brett, are you a keen cyclist?
yer looking great, Dave! congrats!
cheers, Pete
Thanks Pete! I wonder if I could match your hair for wildness?
You are very close!!
Your hair's isane I love it it's wild can't wait until it gets really long.
Kevin
Me neither!! Thanks Kevin, what length are you at presently?
Apologies if you have told us and I missed it!!
Almost to my belt I'll post a pic in the near future.
Kevin
Woah, looks like a nice little growth spurt. It looks great, Dave. Keep it up.
Thanks man, good to hear from you!
"Oi, WILD man!!" ;-)
Your hair looks awesome, Dave, and so thick! I hope you always keep it long.
Mouse
Thanks Mouse, I don't intend cutting it, this is for life.
BTW love the new avatar, keep the faith!!
Del
Hey Del, thanks for the kind words, I am going for three or four years without a cut then assess it. Because i am active and cycle 200 miles a week and race off road, I may have to keep it bottom of the rib cage length, otherwise it may become a problem with moving parts!!
Congrats on feeling like one of the herd....it may be a hairy herd but it's a good herd. Keep on growing!
~Yet another David/Dave (Antesse is just my internet name in case anyone is wondering. Thirty points to whoever can guess the origin of "Antesse".)
Thankyou David, and good luck with your longhair journey!
WOW............does that EVER look SENSATIONAL! I am so happy for you that you held-in there and have arrived at this point.
Just magnificent long hair. No question about that.
Sure bet you have absolutely no regrets.
Justin, Hi, and thankyou for your continued support. I have always been inspired by your hair and overall look from day one, so a big thanks. Without you guys the journey would have been more arduous for sure.
The long hair looks really great on you! I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's even longer
Me neither!! Thanks Waldheri!!
Yeah you can defintaly call yourself a longhair now! I think you´re right that the extra weight is pulling it down. Anyways. your hair looks great, keep growing! :)
Oh, and "Oi, hairy man!" is the best comment I´ve heard in weeks. Haha!
I know, kids eh, cheeky these days ain't they.
Thanks dude!!
What a fine Neolithic specimen you now look.
Congratulations to ya, Nuttidave, congratulations
to ya. Cannot WAIT 'til I finally catch up to ya.
NE CEDE MALIS!
(Yield not unto adversity!)
Quenyan
Hi Quenyan, and thanks for your comments.
I love your free and flowing poetic style. Welcome and don't be a stranger!!
"Hairy Man" indeed.....I have thought of you as a long hair since your first post.......and it just keeps getting better and better. I still think your longhair look is somewhat unique (in a very, very good Aragorn-ish way).
Thanks for Sharing.
Walter White Tail
Thankyou sir, your kind words are very much appreciated.
Spit it out Mr.Zane! What is your secret!? It is evident you've had a major growth surge! You definitely look like a long hair now :-) Great update man, Thanks for sharing
Hey Chrissy Baby!! You know I don't have a secret, although I have been eating more fruit and drinking more water and maybe more sun aswell (vit D), so who knows.
I just think its gravity taking hold and pulling it down.
Anyway thanks and looking forward to your next update.
unique look. Yes you are definitely a longhair now and have the highest "shaggy factor" of anyone here. I probably know why. Your hair probably has a random growth pattern, It probably grows in entirely different directions from different points on your head. Pick almost any point on your head and note which direction your hair grows at that point. Your hair may be growing in a totally different direction one or two inches from that point. Check this uot to see if I am right. (You may need help from a friend to take a close look at your scalp to see the angle of growth from various points on your head.)
Most people have hair growing in an organised spiral pattern from a central point. This is called the crown. Most of us have only one crown. Some people have 2 or 3 crowns. It is possible to have 4 or more crowns. Multiple crowns cause the hair to grow in a chaotic, complex array of swirls. You probably have several crowns.
I had 3 crowns as a child. I had the main one and 2 smaller ones just above each temple on the right and left side. They gave my hair the appearance of horns above my temples. These are sometimes referred to as "cowlicks". They are gone now and I have only one crown.
In conclusion, multiple crowns are probably what give you your unique look. You appear to have a chaotic hair growth pattern rather than an organised one.
Your hair should look really cool in a year. Keep growing it. Keep us posted Dave.
Absalom
Thats really interesting Absalom, and something i will definately check out. I really like it actually so hopefully its not bad thing to have multiple crowns. Maybe (hopefully), if and when i become thinner haired i will not have a thin crown or bald patch - unless they all thin out!!
I must admit i do keep my eye open for similarly wild hair growth but there isn't many about.
Thanks and regards, Dave
looking real good, feels good with long hair doesn't?
Its the best feeling Eric, like it was meant to be.
Hey Nutt'ster: Lookin' gooooooooood my man. It really seems MUCH longer than your last post. Feels good aye? I took off my shirt after work today and combed out my hair and it felt great on my shoulders and I too was thinking that I felt like a longhair! Long live the hairy man!!! Bruce'o'rama
Hey Brucie Baby!!! Thanks for your comments and keep those pedals turnin'.
Regards, Hairy Man
Those wild locks are starting to make their (slow) way downward. Man Dave you are really getting some especially awesome hair curling around your shoulders. Its a great feeling having it go every which way in the wind.
Comgratulatioms on that huge milestone of hair on your shoulders!
Your long patience is paying off mate :) It's only getting better!
Thanks Chris, yes it is a great feeling, although, a year and a half from a shaved head isn't so long to wait.
Wow
Dave
What a transformation from short to your current look its looks so much better to than your old short hair style defiantely an improvement by far oh PLEASE keep your hair long form now on !
Axel
Thanks Axel, its longhair for life for me now.
Looks awesome dave!
Cheers Helgast, hope all is well with you.
wow!!that side pic really shows that you are definitely getting there!!yes, now it seems to be growing downward versus "out" lol!!^_^
Thanks!! Take it easy. Dave
Sorry I'm a little late for the party, but I really had to say that you feel like a longhair because you really *are* a longhair now! Congratulations, and I look forward to your future growth.
Thanks FrannyG, I'm looking forward to your future hair creations!
