I'm a pretty hairy guy (body hair that is), mostly on my shoulders, creeping up the back of my neck. The hair grows in patches, and looks BAD. Even with short hair and regular cuts, the two patches on my neck grow faster than the rest and looks downright horrible. So, to counter this, I'm gonna try growing my hair out. I had it about shoulder-blade length when I was in highschool, but it wound up very poofy, like "Bizzy-Bone" from Bone, Thugs and Harmony, mostly when I tied it back. Any ideas how to counter this? My hair isn't straight, its more wavy in the back, and right now, I look like a young Jerry Seinfeld....
Hey, Davepetr
Welcome to the hyperboard! Im not familiar with Bizzy-Bone nor Bone,Thugs and Harmony so i went ahead and googled them. I found this image below!:
Judging from the picture, It appears that Bizzy-Bones has dense, tightly curled hair predominantly found in people of african descent. I am not sure if you have african descent because you did not provide an image of your hair or details on your background. Assuming that your hair is identical to his, I would feel safe to say that the poofiness is inevitable. I think a chemical straightening treatment would relax the hair and reduce the volume. I suppose the longer it gets, The less poofy it will be but keep in mind that hair like Bizzy-Bones has a natural tendency to be poofy. Well, I hope this helps. Take care!
