ok i been trying to grow my hair for ages now, did bleech it but am now back to brown hair
but the last few months i could swear my fringe is geting shorter
i do straighten my hair every day, but with this hydration straightener cant not straighten it really look a right idiot otherwise
what can i do to help it grow and not get shoter lol
my last maintanance cut was about 4 months ago and it hasnt even grown back the inch it was cut
Hmn . . .
Problematical, to be sure.
Mayhaps the lack of length in that
amount of time, Axl, could be due,
in part, to breakage occurring because
of the caustic nature of the straightening
agent. If not, my wife, a nurse in the
geriatric field, yesterday DAY, had just
remarked about a product actually derived
from the COFFEE BEAN (!) that acts as a hair
growth stimulant when applied topically.
I'm sure if you did a search, Axl, you'd
locate a vendor online.

The first time I grew my hair out i straightened my hair every day and it eventually stopped growing forcing me to cut it off. it also got to the point that it looked horrible if i didnt straighten it. Unless im misreading your post it sounds like your doing pretty much the same thing i did, and the only cure for that is to start over im sorry to say. And next time no straighteners! I havent used one once since i started again and im sure you can do it as well.
Hi Axl,
Welcome to the hyperbosrd! The best suggestion I can give you is to stay away from straighteners. I fell into the same trap for about a year during the process of growing out my hair and I actually thought my hair had stopped growing for a time. After stopping use of these evil devices last September my hair is forgiving me for it, and is indeed growing after all. The problem with straightening your hair is that it actually disguises the damage that is being caused, but the damage IS there and will not stop until you just let your hair do its own thing and be natural.
I am sure you will begin to gain more length once you stop straightening, why not give it a try?
Hope this helps and best of luck,
David
David is right. Just stop straightening and be patient, If it doesn't look good enough to wear in public, try alice bands or a hat. The awkward stage is a pain, but it does end! There is no need to cut it off and start over, just let it grow. When the hair gets longer, it straightens itself out. Mine is actually getting TOO straight! :/
Patience, my friend!
