Do you think split end/damage removal shampoo actually does anything? I know flyaways are normal, but I've started to notice alot of them lately, and my hair has been really frizzy as a result so I just started using one (can't remember the brand name and not in a position right now to check so later on that). I do tend to play with my hair. I'm afraid it's just too tempting sometimes. :P Maybe I should break this habbit. Until then I want to protect it the best I can.
Maybe it can prevent split ends but it cannot repair them.
Well, I know that much.. It's the maybe thing. Does it really?
Meant to add: I don't think I have split ends. At least none that I could find under a microscope because my hair is soo fine. :P The only place I experience tangling when I comb is in the area where my natural cowlick is. I just think I have a little breakage and wanted to take precautionary steps before it turned into a real problem.
While some commercials would like to get you thinking their product can undo split ends it is temporary. Splits can disappear while using silicone shampoo. What happens is that the sillicones glue the hair back together so it is solved as long as you continue to use their shampoo, conditioner, or silicone serum. One clarifing treatment and the hair is back to a mess of splits which sometimes get falsely blamed on the clarifier.
