Earlier today, I was leaving the on-campus cafeteria and heading back to my dorm room. On the way there I stepped on a piece of a tree root and stumbled slightly. I didn't lose my balance or anything, but what happened next was very funny. A large truck (Nissan Titan, I think) came by ever so slowly. The windows were down, and there was an older man driving, with a middle-aged woman in the passenger seat. I clearly heard the old man say, "I think that boy is stoned." The middle-aged lady proceeded to laugh her ass off, and I couldn't help but do the same.
I guess a combination of the accidental stumble, the long hair, and the fact that I happened to be wearing earth toned, hippie-ish clothes caused them to come the conclusion that I was on a trip or something.
It didn't offend me or anything. It just made me laugh at how people come to conclusions about others so quickly, and those conclusions are often dead wrong. Don't you just love stories with a moral to them? :-P
I get that all the time. Theres this jock in one of my classes who is really annoying. He will occasionally say stupid frazes such as "woe man" to his other mates while next to me. Also I get the occasional comment from randoms such as you look baked dude
Dude, you WERE trippin'. On tree roots!
Bill
I'm 'stumped' as to what to say!
Maybe you should 'branch' out into short sketches SOADdude.
