Sorry for all the pics. But I thought these give a good sense of my hair. My hair is flatter and straighter today. I used some of this styling putting on my hair, and then combed it out when it set. It looks and feels great, it's almost a life saver, as it makes my hair appear longer.
The early months of growing is lame, but it just adds fuel to my fire of growing it.
I posted an update a few days ago, but this is the official May 2007 update.

Heey! That's a great progress actually, and you're right that your hair appears longer now than in the latest pics, i've also made the huge mistake of dying my hair darkbrown/black throughout the years, last time i dyed was in july last year, i cut my hair short sometime in March this year if i remember correctly, and now i'm on my journey to long hair again, but i'll keep on trimming it every few months until all the dye is gone.
Seeya!
Simon
Cool, but I just want to say, in your last pics, I could see no dye in your hair. I'd say you should just leave it to grow.
Cool stuff! It already looks like it's overgrown (in a good way).
On a side note, you have a wide variety of moods / faces you portray in your pictures, have you considered modeling and/or acting?
Ironically, I'm a drama student, and have a drama production next week.
They are gonna mess my hair up with some Byrlcream as it's set in 1700 Australia.
Me a model? No way, not good looking enough, and need to lose a little weight.

I often use brylcreem actually, i think it's way better than any gel or wax, but i also use some kind of pomade too, especially Murrays, but with brylcreem you get that shine wich you can't get from regular gel.
You said you have to loose weight, well to me you don't looks so overweight really.
I really like this.

Coming along nicely Chris, you'll be a longhair once again before you know it!
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Its coming on well Chris, just think in three months it will be half a year, then before you know it a year will be on you. Keep the faith!!

Hi Chris,
Your new journey to long hair is coming along very well indeed, your hair is growing quickly. You will be a longhair again before you know it, and this time, for the long term.
All the best,
David
No offense bud, but is it really necessary to post an update every week when your hair is still the same length? Don't mean to rain on your parade, but it's not long at all and you pretty much show the same pictures in every post.
I usually post MONTHLY picures, with some others here and there. And dude, I was told I would have support on here when I cut my hair off. What do you expect me to do? Go away until it's long? No way man. Posting monthly pictures is actually making the time go quickly, and douche, go look at my 2nd month pics, you can see it has grown. So there.
Thanks for your kind replies, everyone else.

You should have stoppeed right there, sunshine...
but is it really necessary to post an update every week when your hair is still the same length?
Maybe or maybe not... but clearly you found it necessary to go to the effort to be UNsupportive
Don't mean to rain on your parade,
Of course you didn't, I can just tell your intentions were as crisp and clean as the mountain air after a thunderstorm...
but it's not long at all and you pretty much show the same pictures in every post.
Your self-absorbed sense of importance is eclipsed only by the lack of observation as demonstrated here. The pictures are indeed different and not only is the hair longer, but is showing remarkable length in the regular progress being afforded the otherwise gentlemanly and supportive community here.
That you took the time and effort to post what you did brings to mind a saying that has proven timeless:
"It is better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"

HTML is tricky. If you don't check it carefully, it may not look as you expect, and with some errors it may look fine in your own browser but not in the browsers of others. The recommeded way to show "the other guy's words" is to use colons rather than italicizing, and the system implements that automatically. To italicize one guy's text is adding unnecessary work on yourself. Italicizing also gets confusing if the other guy replies back to you, and so on, because you'll be using different schemes.
Colons also allow for multiple levels of a thread. You can't make text more italicized each time, but you can add one more colon!
Also, to let users revise their posts, we have to be sure it is them doing the revising. That would require registration, and we have a long-running policy against making users register and log in before they can post.

...and that is why you got an answer. [grin]
There are generally reasons why we do or don't do stuff, and hey, the only way to find them out is to ask.
We want posting to be as easy as possible. The less steps involved for a guy to post, the better, if that is a goal.
We could outlaw italics and other cool stuff, of course, to idiotproof the board, but we'd rather give guys the freedom to be creative. When you step out of the non-creative realm of just entering plain text, though, you do have to be careful. We do give our users all the rope we feel we can give them - and then of course our hope is that they don't hang themselves with it.
Bill
Ahhh yes... I'm out of practice proofreading and if I want to increase my participation here it's clear I'm going to need to get back into the practice. It'll take a fraction of the patience it took me to grow my hair.
Hey Chris;
The hair looks great. Its coming in nicely. You must have a "Please Pick on Me" sign posted somewhere because you seem to get the most crap posts from people.
Never mind them .... keep up the good work..
Tristan
He certainly does.
