Well,
Looks like it finally happened, I was going for as job interview, and they said I wouldn't be eligable unless I
cut my hair off right there and then! They decided a number 1
buzz cut would be the best. I objected but had been put on the spot, and was in total shock so I agreed and they bought in the company barber who cut it right there and then. It felt weird. Then I woke up. Yes that dream that seems to have happened to others here finally happened to me! I woke up and was really relieved all my hair was still there. What a vivid and shocking dream! I really panicked there for a few moments. Sorry to scare you all, just thought I'd share.

My hair Journal (just updated !!!)
glad to see your still doing your journal, i was wondering what happened, your hair seems a lot long than it was 2 months ago, and is looking excellent, keep up the good work.
Hello,
That reminds me of a similar dream, about a "company" that has a few "company barbers": THE ARMY.
In this dream, I was drafted against my will, and put on a bus to Ottawa (Canada has no draft and had no draft since WWII).
On the bus, I was enjoying the scenery, it was a Greyhound type passenger bus. On arrival, we get off the bus, and arrive at this hockey arena, transformed into an induction center, and the first thing was: The dreaded army buzzcut. I was waiting in line for my turn to the barber chair. One weird thing, was as the barber was chopping inductee's hair, I noticed that he held the clipper at the end of a foot long wooden stick. As my turn approached, I was getting more nervous, and fiddled in my pocket. I found a $10 bill, and I decided to run away, ($10 was sufficent for bus fare back to Montreal at the time).
I got up, with the chills, even though in this dream, my hair was untouched.
Have a nice day,
Georges in Montreal.
Dream like this 6 months ago, I dreamed I cut off all my hair with a buzzer in a fit of rage.
Wow, Intense Dream MattT. I have not yet had a dream like that. I hope I never do, then again, I think I have become so defiant when it comes to matters of hair the dream would probably shred hehehe
During the communism era, many people here had long hair, like hippies in USA. The government considered them as an ideology threat and fought the long haired men both by propaganda and police forces.
Sometimes, long-haired people were represented as criminal elements and criminals or evil deviants in TV had long hair, long-haired men were officially called "Mandies". (to highlight their "female" appearance) Also, these people were often caught by STB (communistic police) and had their hair cut forcibly, to be humiliated.
The guys who got caught were later at demonstration shouting phrases like "Give back our hair !!!" Some had their hair hidden under a wig, to look like a good builders of socialism.
But the Mandies didn't betray their ideals. One their big meeting was attacked by police forces, but they started to fight and defeated the police cordons. The armed forces had to come with armoured vehicles with water cannons, otherwise probably the revolution would be a bit earlier and more bloody :o)
So, I can imagine that in this era a many people were afraid of losing their loooooong hair. Fortunately I have no such dreams yet, I gro' my hair only for almost two years, but I believe it will come when there'll be more to be afraid about.
Hi MattT,
I have had several hair dreams over the years...
Before I grew it long, I used to dream I had at least shoulder-length hair. Then once I had it long, I occasionally dreampt I cut it back to medium-length. The most recent dreams I've had have included one where I "discovered" I had cut it very short (like a crew cut, --- one step away from buzz). In that dream, I remember looking in the mirror, completely puzzled over how, when, and why I had done that. I was neither afraid nor angry in the dream: just very perplexed, --- but I felt comforted in knowing I was going to grow it back without question!
Odd thing is that in real-life, I was NOT that "relaxed" after I did cut my long hair off in Y2K. I was a complete train-wreck afterwards, in fact... Go figure!
