I receive this question all the time on myspace. My answer to them is that depends. You can have the most attractive hair style in the world and if you are very insecure and self concious about it, it will turn women off like crazy. But if you take care of your hair and love your self more than you do any one else that confidence will ooze out and women will take notice.
However as many women that don't like it, the girls who do are in the minority. This is a given. However these girls who like long haired men find them really scarce. Lots of guys that are claiming they have long hair really have to the shoulders or shorter.
Bottom line love your self more than you do anyone else.
Which means.
Grow it out for you, not anyone else. Your the one that is going to have to deal with growing your hair year after year, no one else. If you are growing it out for you, you will be much more dedicated, and are less likely to fail. It works the same for any task.

The primary question here is whether girls like you or not. The length of your hair should be relatively immaterial to this question.
Once that question is answered, then one can ask how the length of the hair has an effect.
I never understood why girls or guys avoid me regardless of my hairstyle or whatever... might be the aspergers making it really hard to socialize well, girls are very nonverbal and that is one area I am really bad at.

I can't pick up nonverbal cues... at least I dont know how to tell them apart in the first place. So I sit there assuming no one like me (everyone tells me that when I was little) and have no idea if anyone does like me.
yeap.you are right.hair length has little to no effect on whether a girl will like you or not.if you act like your hair is an issue,she'll be turned off.If your goin around doin the Ric Flair strut or generally act like you are the attractive,then they will like you (and therefore will like your hair too.)hair length only affects YOU!!
Lately I've taken to wearing my hair down a bit more than I usually do. One morning, it just seemed like everyone (women and men) was talking to me, or at least just saying "hello" or "nice weather today, isn't it" etc. Normally nobody ever talks to me.
And... I don't really endeavor to be attractive to women, if you know what I mean ;) but it seems women come and talk to me out of the blue more often now than before. Again, more so with my hair down. Now if only a few more guys would notice me, I'd be happy! Perhaps if I get back into shape that will help.

I wear my hair down all the time, I'm not really into the ponytail look. And damn I wish more women would give me attention because of the fact! Attractive ones!
