Hello all,
Two things to note here....
1). I feel that we (the collective users), often forget about how much work and time goes into keeping this board accessible and clean. I just want to thank the moderation crew for all their work. I'm sure that if we added up the amount of time the moderation crew spends in one week attending to the various aspects of this board, it would amount to much more then so previously thought.
A big, heartfelt THANKS!! to everyone.
2). Now for something a bit more on topic. For all of you guys with long beards (Victor, Bill, Absalom....and im sure im forgetting a few) do you ever find tings in your beard that are unusual? I don't expect anyone to say "ya, i found a fork today..." I have this thought of finding a piece of food that you ate a day or two earlier. Just a weird question that popped into my head while taking my calculus final this morning.
Peace

Hi guys,
I'd like to express my thanks and appreciation to our mods, longtime members and other people which match the further. Every time when a man comes here, introducing himself, with a photo or not, you've got always a warm greeting and attentive words for him. For the most time, I see so much responses in one topic that I can't write anything more, because everything relevant was said already. Well, we definitely have very special people here.

Thank you Clayton. The board does need some "care and feeding" to keep it properly maintained. Discussion boards that are not maintained will sooner or later crash and burn.
My beard has hairs in it that are up to 10 inches long now. I have found things in it from time to time. A piece of a corn chip as large as a centimeter in size can easily hide in it. It has happened. A spider or small insect can get in there un noticed as well. Grooming my beard keeps undesirable small creatures and pieces of food out of it.
You deserve to see a photo of my beard which I included in this post. I ran my hand over it a few strokes, stretching it out a little to show the length. It normally does not come to a point like you see in the photo.
Absalom
That picture is where i aspire to be, as soon as a beard will grow!!!!:p)

Any snakes or rats?
Bill
Due to their size, I think I would notice. I have seen a cartoon with the birds nesting in a long beard. I can't recall what cartoon it was. I was a child when I saw it.

Thanks for your appreciation, --- I really appreciate it! (Seriously!)
I don't have a long beard, myself (although I often contemplate growing one); but I did accidentally munch on a hair today, while attempting to eat bread with butter (lol). Now, as for hiding forks in one's beard or hair... gee, that would be pretty cool! Just imagine going to a restaurant, and the waiter forgot to properly set the table: "no need to get me any silverware, young man, --- I keep an extra stash right here!"

Little kids' hands seem to be drawn to it. Also, a friend of mine's dog likes to paw it, and his claws pull the hairs. Ouch!
