Hi there, David.
I have been so very busy as of late, that I really haven't had time to respond to a post that you made a while back.
I did notice that your hair had filled in a bit. I believe that the Propecia is working for you and I think that you will see even better results as time passes.
It seems that GlaxoSmithKline is pressing ahead on phase III studies regarding (Avodart) for hairloss. They are conducting the studies in Korea and these studies will be held to FDA standards.
Actually, the most promising study that I am aware of involves the use of certain molecules that will render the DHT receptors inactive, thus, no more hairloss.

Hi Jeffrey,
It's great to hear from you again! It's hard to say right now if the hair is indeed thicker or not, but at least it is not any worse. In my recent update, it did look better in the crown area, I am not 100% sure if it is indeed thickening or if the fact that the picture was a bit darker than my October pic is the reason. I don't want to get my hopes up too high just yeat!
I finally see my dermatologist next week, May 16th. I had only seen my family doctor before, he was the one who detected signs of MPB and prescribed propecia, and gave me the referral, the wait has been 5 months! It will be good to see how I stand and I will be sure to keep you posted.
That's great news about the phase III trials, I also felt from your posts that Avodart was the better way to go. That's even better news about the molecules rendering DHT ineffective! I imagine that studies like that will take a long time to go to completion, as that is very preliminary work, let's hope they step up the research so we don't have to wait 10 years or more.
Thanks for thinking about me, and hopefully things will slow down a bit for you so that you can post more regularly again.
Take care,
David
