My friend and I are on a quest to grow our hair and beards to terminal length. We really enjoy the process of becoming hairy and are looking forward seeing how much hair we can grow. We often joke about being Sasquach brothers.

Not likely, my hair reaches about the tops of my knees and has been there for a while. At 54 years old, I am fortunate to have among the longest hair of all the guys that post here.
Very few men or even women can grow their hair to the floor. Hair grows about 6 inches per year. The high end for the hair active growth cycle is 7 years. That is 3 1/2 feet before the hair sheds and the growth process starts over again. There are people that have a longer growth cycle than 7 years but they are extremely rare. Dianne Witt has hair 13 feet long and probably a 15 year growth cycle.
Don't be too disappointed if you hair does not reach floor length.
I just wanted a change, so I started growing it. There were some longhairs at the church that I attended, and I wanted to have it as long or longer than theirs.
Shaving is very unpleasant as well. That raw skin feeling after shaving is just awful.

Awesome hair and beards...both of you! I dig longhair/big beard combo's. This was the longest I grew mine this winter (about 2 inches). I've been going through the motions for years gearing up for a long beard grow-out. I thought I'd go all this year without trimming but one warm sunny morning in March I cut it back. I'll give it another go once summer is over.
Gman, Awesome back atcha! There is no time like the present to go ahead and grow. You'd be surprised that beards can be comfortable in the summer. Turns out they act like insulation. Nature knew what it was doing when it designed facial hair for men. Given enough time and determination you could have an awesome two footer instead of an nice two incher.

WOW!!! Those beards are SUPER cool on BOTH of you, they are both up there with the longest beards on the hyperboard! And both of you are blessed with great hair as well, by all means, keep up the growth to terminal length for everything.

No, just hair to "as long as possible"; I'm not too keen on the super-long beard for myself, although I admire it on others...
