Basically just that. I realize long haired guys are still a drastic minority, and were definitly not going through a new rebellious faze where most guys grow long hair, but nevertheless. I've heard it mentioned on a few sites that gradually longer hair on guys is becoming more popular-again. Do you think this is true? I do. I know quite a few people with long hair actually, and the fact that this site alone gets a new wanna-be long hair fairly often, is also a testament to this. Do you agree?
Medium length is becoming more popular, and that passes for long with most people.
It's always been that way with women's hair. If it barely touches your shoulders, it's considered long. LOL
I think the "medium" length styles that are so "in" for men right now are just kind of retro...The 60's are back in style.
Hopefully crew cuts never come back! lol
I have to agree with that because around here, I've noticed that a lot more guys are letting their hair grow longer. Most are just down to their shoulders, but I've seen a few that have their hair part way down their back.

When I visit schools I see more boys desiring/permitted longer hair than in the last 20 years. What I see is mostly hovering around shoulder length but is grown from the crown to that length deliberately, not just an overdue haircut on a grown out short style. This is not just high schools either, it is boys in elementary (age 5 and up) or middle school. While it is not a majority of kids there are numbers enough that it is not an apparent issue anymore that would make a student stick out from their peers.
It is so much of a trend that I do see long haired boys represented more often in ads as a 'typical' kid, not just the anti-drug ones. There was even one I saw recently on television by a church group that I can't recall with long haired young men. While I couldn't tell if the longhairs were chosen by the ad agency as merely a random sample of real young people or designed to attract specifically with longhairs it was good to see.

Seems so. I think I'm seeing a lot more guys with long hair, mostly ponytailed.
