Well, yesterday was quite a day. I was very excited about using henna for the first time. As I've shared previously, I'm pretty much stuck with coloring my hair because my natural color is rather strange--white on top, mousy gray in back and I've wanted to get away from using chemicals.
The henna turned the hair on top of my head bright orange and didn't change the color in back at all. So I made a bee-line to the drug store (wearing a baseball cap, of course!) for some color remover and regular hair dye in case I needed it.
After applying the color remover, I got around to reading the "cautions", one of which was not to apply over henna as severe damage and breakage could occur!! Well, I figured the damage was already done, so I left it on and when I rinsed it out the bright orange had turned to kind of a salmon pink--still unacceptable.
So I used the Garnier Fructis hair color in desperation--and here are the results!! Thankfully, I got good, strong hair from my mother. So happy Mother's Day, Mom, and thanks for the good genes!!
Oh yeah, I also shaved off my beard.
