As a Yankees fan, I've always wondered...why does it matter? Why does it matter if guys want to grow their hair out? Or grow a bit of a beard? I like the Yankees and always will but why is the clean look the most 'Professional' one in baseball? Guys such as Giambi and Damon have longish hair. Damon of course grew his out in Boston and everyone called him caveman or Jesus, what a surprise!
Just comes to show you how important short hair and no facial hair is the norm for our society.
Well, I happen to be a Red Sox fan. It's one of the things I love about Boston as against NY. There are no rules about hair for the Red Sox.
Ever think of switching allegiances? I'm only half kidding....as a longhair I could never support the Yankees for their anti-longhair discrimination alone.
its not the yankee organization, its the current ownership.
It's what Steinbrenner wants. He's the owner. He dictates what's what.

THis is why even though I live in new york I cannot possibly root for the bronx bombers in this present time.
However I live a mile from where the mets play. So go mets.
Lucky dog! You can see them whenever you want. But no offense meant.....I'm kinda glad I don't live close to Shea. NY and I never got along too well. I used to like the Yankees when I was a kid but for the past 4-5 years I've become a Met fan.
