Hello there Quester, I just recently viewed your myspace page and nearly had a heart attck when through the speakers blasted the awesome sound of Jethro Tull, Hymn 43, from my favourite album of all time Aqualung. I have to say Im impressed, I love Jethro Tull and I saw them live in my town of Middlesborough England a few weeks ago, and they were superb.
They were titled the Acoustic Jethro Tull, I figured they must of been a tribute band at first, and decided Id go, got there to buy the tickets and realised as the women told me, oh its the real Jethro Tull alright, well its a new formed version, fronted by Mr. Ian Anderson himself. ell id just like to say that im a huge Tull fan, and growing my hair because of it, and also good to see another Tull fan on here, good work, Im off now, to listen Thick as a Brick :D
Hey, just wanted to mention that I'm a Tull fan, too. My mother gave me her Aqualung LP in the 80's when I was a teenager. She used to play it quite a bit in the 70's when I was small and just starting to turn on to rock n roll. I begged her for that album for a long time and she finally gave in. I LOVE those guys! Ian Anderson had wild hair and beards in the 70's that I always thought were killer looking. Outstanding flautist to boot.
Hey Mr. Zappafan, what is UP, bruh?!
I, too, revel in the extraordinary genius of Mr. Ian Anderson's excellent group, Jethro Tull. Saw them when they toured w/ Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. The vendors then were selling these beautiful cloissone leaf motif brooches. Alas, a tad too overpriced for my pocket. The Lp you'd mentioned in your posting to Quester, "Thick As A Brick", when it had first been released, actually helped to awaken my psychic abilities after consistent, repeated listenings. I josh you not. Music has been proven to reawaken our latent psi abilities. I wonder, did you experience anything similar, listening to Tull before? Profound hunches and premonitious dreams were just the beginning . . .
Yours in continuing longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+;-)}
Damn, I used to play that album when I was a DJ in college. Always did love that guy's unique voice. Awesome memories.
Sitting on a park bench....

Hey, zappafan, are you a fan of Frank Zappa? The schoolmate of Captain Beefheart? If yes, its nice to see that someone likes that music!
My dad is a fan of progressive rock like Deep Purple, E.L.O., Exodus, Camel, and of course Jethro Tull. I have somewhere around the discography, of which I have tried Living in the past and Thick as brick. Well, that's not entirely my cup of coffee, I like symphonic rock more, the progressive rock just doesn't feel right for me (too joyfully sounding?), but its close to it.
Also I'm fan of psychedelic music (oh, Simon Posford! *bow*) which is unbearably beautiful, and some avantgardism, which would fascinate even Martians :o)
