Well, since my hair is geting longer, I figured I might aswell buy some hair ties for fun. I tried doing a little tail in the back but I don´t have enough hair to keep it in place yet. :)
Actually, I plan on having the mini-ponytail at work so that it´s easier to keep in my hat. At the moment, my locks keep escaping the hairnet.
Ah well, it´s fun to experiment. :)
Have fun experimenting! I did the same thing, and like you nothing really stayed in place at the start. It's a good start, though, and even small ponytails can have their uses.
The only recomendation I have is to try to find binders without metal on them. That way there's less of a chance of hair getting stuck in the binder and breaking.
Keep it growing!

Well, they only had ties with metal on them at my store. I bought them just to try a little. Though I´m going to hunt down some better when I feel ready to actually use them. :)

Yeah, I got lucky. The store I bought mine at didn't even HAVE any binders with mental.
I was thinking the same thing, Mouse. I bought a new pack last week (how do they disappear so fast?) and noticed not one pack had metal pieces on them.
They DO disappear fast, don't they? And I don't even use them all that often yet. Of course, they also seem to show up all over the place too. I'm finding them in the car, my gym bag, pockets, my backpack...

Hi Mouse,
And I thought I was the only one who found them all over the place... even in places I never knew existed!

Congratulations, you've reached a fun milestone, jag minns när jag också började ha håret fast, det kändes rätt ovant till en början men sen vande man sig:)
I almost always used the ones without the metal stuff.

Yeah, I've also bought today the hair ties, for the first time. I was searching for them in local cities and towns, but found none. But today, I just saw some in local grocery store.
I bought the ties with metal, I'll give them a try. For now, it seems much better than rubber bands. There were some hair ties with no metal, but I'm suspicious that they're made of velvet-like material, which is extremely unpleasant to me. Every time I touch velvet or think of touching it, I feel an intensive willies, like other mortals feels when someone scratches a blackboard by fingernails :o(
I did the same thing when I was growing my hair out, --- at least I remember doing so the 2nd time (After i cut it short in Y2K)!
By the way, I'm a little too late to comment on your update you posted several days ago (waaaaay down the page now....); but I thought I'd at least mention it here what a big diffenernce I'm starting to see in the growth now, --- looks GREAT!! You appear to have really excellent quality hair, so my guess is that you'll have a lot of fun watching it get longer and looonger and looooooonger as the months roll by!
Take care, and keep up the good work!

Thanks mate. :)
It won't be long before you can put them to good use. I have a bunch, but keep them all in one place or on my wrist, so no worries about finding them in random locations.
Keep it growing, as you've reached another small (and quite fun) milestone along the path to becoming a longhair. Congrats, Erik! =)
