I went to the Himalayan Fair in Berkeley Saturday and Sunday. What a great gathering of longhairs. It was total bliss. I have a bunch of pics. Here is number one. This guy has a lovely braid with a classic metal decoration at the top.

It looks like you had a nice time at the fair. This is an interesting picture since the (girlfriend/wife/daughter?) has short hair with the fellow having it nice and long. It seems there was a concentration of long hair there.
Festivals and fairs always seem to bring out all types. Last weekend, I was at the Ocmulgee Wild Hog Festival near here and saw a fair amount of long haired guys for this region.

Yes, the Bay Area is a mecca for longhairs. I will try to get to the Haight Street festival. I will probably go there with Bill. There should be an ample quantity of longhairs there too.

Thanks for sharing these great pictures, what a wonderful part of the world to live in. I really like this braid picture, best picture of the bunch, that is one thick and healthy braid! This is one area of California I hope to visit when I do my road trip in the spring of 2009, hopefully I'll have a chance to meet you as well as several other MLHH members when I get there.

Hi David, that braid made my day. He had the nicest braid of all of the men there. I especially liked the metal ornament at the top of his braid. Just lovely. There were so many longhairs there, it was impossible to get a photo of all of them.

darn, I wish I was in San Francisco or Berkeley,
those places sure do seem long hair hippie friendly,
not like overly conservative Wisconsin.
They are very long hair friendly, I am most fortunate to live here.

Hi Justin, it was just wonderful. California is very culturally diverse. That is what makes it such a great place to live. I plan to go to more longhair events this year too.
