Hi All,
Been following this site for the last couple of months and decided to say hello
Decided to grow my hair long again for first time since i was a teenager. Just passed the 5 month mark since my last hair cut, kind of at that awkward poofy stage now but am determined to stick with it. I have fairly thick slightly wavy hair (will post a pic at some stage). I do a lot of running and always kept my hair short but now that its getting longer its really cool to feel the wind blowing it back as i'm joggin along!
I've always liked the idea of having long hair and I'm at a stage in my life where I dont have to worry about how it looks as its growing out. A lot of people have commented that it make me look younger than having a shaved head (thats motivation enough!). My hair is only about 4 inches now but am dtermined to let it grow for at least a year and see how it goes. Or maybe its my Celtic blood driving me on!
Hi Ike, Welcome to the community it's really cool to have you here. Your fortunate that you don't have to worry about appearance
as you go through the awkward stage. As you know from reading posts here if you do some research and experimentation you can find styles that suit you through the different stages of growth.
Since you have Celtic blood in you then you'll make an excellent longhair.
Take care
Kevin
I'm Welsh so i definatly am a Celt :P
I'm Irish so that has to count...
Hi Ike, Celts rule! Your hair isn't red by any chance is it? keep it growing! peace, jonalbear

Ike and Jonalbear and everyone,
Lest we (k)not forget the so-called "Black Irish" as well!
A prime e.g. is attached here, a picture of my wife, Inwe,
with our dog, Embla, a Huskie/Harrier mix, and a Wishnik.
As the ancient Celts said of their undefeatedness. . .
"Saerse egis anam!"
(We will rise again!)

Hi Ike,
I would like to extend a warm welcome to you, the hyperboard is a community like no other. Be sure to keep us updated on your progress to long hair, the journey is well worth it.
Keep it growing,
David
Welcome aboard Ike,
Yeee - aah! Ain't it true how things from way far back in the gene pool happen to, at some point in our lives or other, resurface again? Longhaired salutations and support from my sphere. Enjoy the postings, bruh.
Atavistically,
Quenyan (+:-)}
Thick wavy hair is going to be a tough challenge to grow out. I guarantee it will look "bad" many months. Don't worry about it though and don't cut!
